Week 14

This update is a little late, seeing as how I am 15 weeks in a day and a half! Better late than never though.
  How far along? 14 weeks
Total weight gain: Up 3-4 lbs Maternity clothes?
Not yet...I did need new pants for work so I went ahead and bought them in a size larger
Stretch marks? No and I am hoping they stay away!
Sleep: Not bad! I have been having very vivid dreams and I get up at least once, sometimes twice a night to pee
Best moment this week: Seeing our baby on an ultrasound. Baby Rogers was wound up-waving arms, flipping around, grabbing feet...so cute!!
Miss Anything? Alcohol! Mason's boyfriend brought mixed drinks to the barn today and I was sad.
Movement:
Too early to feel it but the baby is definitely moving in there!
Food cravings: No real cravings although I did eat some ice cream earlier
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender: Not sure yet!
Labor Signs: No...needs to stay that way for a long time!
Symptoms: Big boobs (although much less sore than in the first trimester), growing belly!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY. So far so good-no major violent mood swings
Looking forward to: Actually having a belly that looks like there is a baby vs a dozen donuts in it!

14 week bump!

Isn't Baby Rogers cute??? My mom works for a pregnancy center and one of the nurses has offered to do as many free sonograms as we want. It was amazing...we got to see the baby move around like crazy!

Welcome to my new blog! I am not the best at keeping up with written journals but I really want to have a record of this exciting time in our lives. Clayton and I found out that I was pregnant on March 24, 2013. I took a pregnancy test on a whim while he was at his hospital clinical rotation. I have taken multiple pregnancy tests in the past and every one has been negative. I really believed that this one would be as well...

I was shocked when I looked at the test two minutes later and saw two pink lines. So many emotions hit me at that moment...shock, elation, nervousness. It was a moment that I will never forget. I immediately wanted to tell Clayton but knew that I did not want to just send him a text about it. Instead, I went to the store and bought a onesie that said "World's Best Dad" on it as well as an orange one with an alligator in pink. I wrapped those up along with two positive pregnancy tests and waited anxiously for him to get home. It took him a few seconds to process when he opened it but he was very excited when it sank in. "Wow" was his key phrase for several minutes!

Right after the positive test...note the bloating!

I am almost 15 weeks now. Baby looks healthy and the pregnancy has been very easy so far. We are thrilled about this baby and cannot wait for the months ahead! I have so much to catch up on...I have been doing weekly pictures for a couple weeks now. Over the next few days I will try to get them all up.
